How to start digital art from scratch?
If you are a normal person who has never ever tried to draw anime or if you know how to draw but are new to digital art. I have all the techniques for you to improve day by day and I am sure you are going to benefit from this blog the most. So Let's Get started without any kind of delay....!!!!!!!!! I will like to show you a digital which I created just after practicing for 4 days
Shocked? Right? Well not that good than what i am able to create now and I am going to teach you every single fuckin thing that I have knowledge of.
STEP 1: Choosing your digital art
application!!!
So as you are in high spirits.. First of all lets start exploring our application..
You can refer to my post on top 5 digital art apps on playstore and appstore
Here's the link:
As for me, I like Ibis Paint X the most. For beginners, I would suggest you to go for Ibis Paint too.
Tho it's a free app but some premium features are paid. If you can afford you can buy the premium version but if you can't then Follow this tutorial to download the fully unlocked version of ibis paint x for free. Here's the link:
STEP 2: Getting to know your app
Now you are ready with your application. You should try to explore all the basic functions of your app. I am going to use ibis paint X for demonstrating what i mean by that. This is how ibis paint x interface looks like in Lenovo tab 4 10. You can use phone too UwU
So first of all, the most important tool as we all know is the brush tool. Ibis Paint X has more than 380 brushes which are moorrrrreeeeeee than enough for a beginner artist!
Now similarly there are eraser tool which we use for erasing (obviously) blur tool for blending of blurring to create a cinematic effect. Text tool to add dialogues or credits. Smudge tool again for blending purposes. Magic wand and other tools are advanced tools which we will discuss in upcoming posts. For explaining use of layers i would like to refer you to the following post:
STEP 3: Finding your favourite part!!!
Now that you are familiar with your tool (app), we should get down to the drawing part. Now most pf you guys have questions like what should you learn first. Anatomy, mannequinisation, rough sketching, lineart, colouring, shading, and blah blah blah blah.
My answer to that is that there is actually no particular order in digital art to start with.. Acc to me.. There are two aspects in digi art.. Drawing and colouring. Drawing is the harder part!!!!! Yeeeeesss!!!!! You guys are thinking that this man must have gone crazzyyy!!!??? But no. Actually drawing digitally is harder than colouring unlike in traditional art. Most of you would not have a stylus. (more on stylus in this post: )
and would try to draw with your fingers and that is actually the only choice us poor guys have... ;—; But worry not!!! Coz I M HERE (MHA reference) so if you choose drawing first then follow me. But if you wanna learn colouring first. Then i would like to refer you to the following post:
And all my drawing aspirants let's get into the basics of learning to draw in the following post:
